A clinical and professional skills training session on "Oral Hygiene" was organized for first-year students from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry as part of the Interprofessional Education course. The training was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Gözde Işıker Kara from the Department of Periodontology and Asst. Prof. Dr. İhsan Delioğlu from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases). During the session, students received theoretical information on maintaining oral and dental health, the importance of oral hygiene, halitosis (bad breath), and proper oral care practices, alongside hands-on skills training. Under the guidance of the faculty members, students had the opportunity to learn and practice fundamental oral hygiene techniques. The training aimed not only to enhance the students' professional knowledge and skills but also to strengthen collaboration and communication across different healthcare disciplines. Highlighting the contribution of the interprofessional education approach to the quality of healthcare services, the session concluded after the students completed their practical exercises.
